Growing Instructions

Sunlight: Full sun to bright partial sun supports compact growth and abundant flowering.

Soil: Use loose, fertile, well-drained garden soil or a fine seed-starting mix.

Watering: Keep consistently moist during germination; after establishment, water at the soil line when the surface begins to dry.

Sowing Depth: Sow shallowly, generally about one-eighth to one-quarter inch deep depending on seed size.

Spacing: Thin or transplant seedlings about eight to eighteen inches apart, adjusted for mature variety size.

Germination: With suitable warmth and moisture, germination is commonly seen within about one to three weeks.

Blooming Time: Most annual types begin flowering in the same growing season after seedlings establish.

Plant Height: Typical mature height ranges from compact bedding size to about three feet, depending on variety.

Care Tips: Remove faded flowers where useful, maintain airflow, and avoid prolonged waterlogging.
