Growing Instructions

Sunlight: Full sun to bright partial sun supports compact growth and abundant flowering.

Soil: Use loose, fertile, well-drained garden soil or a fine seed-starting mix.

Watering: Keep consistently moist during germination; after establishment, water at the soil line when the surface begins to dry.

Sowing Depth: Sow about one-half to one inch deep, preferably directly where plants will grow.

Spacing: Space plants about twelve to twenty-four inches apart, with more room for tall branching varieties.

Germination: Warm soil usually supports germination in about seven to fourteen days.

Blooming Time: Most annual types begin flowering in the same growing season after seedlings establish.

Plant Height: Depending on variety, plants may mature from roughly two feet to well over six feet tall.

Care Tips: Remove faded flowers where useful, maintain airflow, and avoid prolonged waterlogging.
