Growing Instructions

Sunlight: Provide full sun to partial sun according to local climate, with adequate light for sturdy growth.

Soil: Use loose, well-drained soil with moderate fertility and good root-zone aeration.

Watering: Keep evenly moist through germination and early establishment, then water deeply when the upper soil begins to dry.

Sowing Depth: Sow shallowly, usually from surface sowing to about one-quarter inch deep depending on seed size.

Spacing: Thin or transplant with roughly twelve to twenty-four inches between plants, adjusted for mature spread.

Germination: Germination often takes two to six weeks; some perennial seed benefits from a period of cool, moist stratification.

Blooming Time: Perennials may flower in the first season when started early, but many give their best display from the second season onward.

Plant Height: Mature height commonly ranges from one to three feet, with variation by species and growing conditions.

Care Tips: Provide good drainage, allow plants to establish a strong root system, and divide or trim mature growth when appropriate.
