Growing Instructions

Sunlight: Full sun is preferred for most meadow flowers, though light partial sun is tolerated by some species.

Soil: Use loose, well-drained garden soil with moderate fertility; overly rich soil can encourage excessive foliage.

Watering: Keep the seedbed lightly and consistently moist until seedlings establish, then water according to rainfall and local conditions.

Sowing Depth: Surface sow fine seed or cover lightly, generally no deeper than about twice the seed thickness.

Spacing: Thin seedlings to provide airflow and enough room for each plant to reach its natural mature spread.

Germination: Many wildflowers germinate within one to four weeks, while native perennials may need a cool stratification period.

Blooming Time: Annual species can bloom in the first season; perennial wildflowers may flower more strongly from the second year onward.

Plant Height: Mature height ranges widely from low meadow flowers to upright plants several feet tall.

Care Tips: Avoid heavy fertilization, allow good air circulation, and leave some spent flowers if natural reseeding is desired.
